Bus Act
The bus act was started on December 2nd of 1955 when only a day before, 40 year old Rosa Louise Parks was kicked off a bus and arrested for not giving up her seat to a Caucasian passenger. Many other events lead up to the boycott such as the establishment of the Jim Crow Laws and the constant division between the people of color and "whites". Accompanied by Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King Jr, Fred E. Grey and Edgar D. Nixon, Rosa took a stand for what was right. The Boycott was influential in civil rights and was peaceful making it just that much more difficult for Jim Crow Laws to be in place.
